Absence Makes the........Lung Re-Inflate?

Okay.
Much as I would like to make this long & thoroughly explanatory, I am still very sore at & around the sight of my incision & I'm trying to rest the whole right side of my body for a few more days.

Wednesday night I was rushed to the hospital with a spontaneously collapsed lung. I was just released this morning, and to say I've just been through the scariest & one of the most draining experience of my life would be a great understatement.

I just wanted to jump on here & let my lovelies know I haven't abandoned you, and as much I'd love to jump right back into the swing of things, I need to give myself a few more days of rest & recovery now that I'm finally home. I've been so shaken, scared, traumatized, and will be pretty sore all week & forced to take it easy due to the tube that was surgically inserted through the side of my chest for 4 days.

I may just end up going into detail over the whole experience once I feel fully healed up, pin-pointing the humorous & touching moments of even a near death experience. Could it be any other way with me, scary as it was?

I love ya'll, and just wanted to let you know that as well as why I haven't been around.

And this....

If you're ever one of those disrespectful douchebags who doesn't understand or appreciate this, I'll kick you in the shins.

Don't make me kick you in the shins. My back hurts.

Love & miss you, my dearies. Hoping to be well back in the swing of things soon.

~XoXoXo~

  2. Glad to hear you're alive.

So... it just collapsed? Just cuz?? What the hell? I'm worried mine's gonna do the same, just because it feels like it now...

  3. Me too, Jill. Me too. I may just be scared about it for a long time. =/

L.I.I. - They're not exactly sure what caused it in my case, but supposedly hundreds of things can be the cause, from an injury, to an underlying, unknown illness like pneumonia, to just being skinny &/or lanky, the dr. said (Don't ask how I'm short yet lanky, but I am somehow).

My fear is really of it happening again, so I really gotta learn to take things easy & be more aware of my body.

I'll write a detailed post of the whole experience once I feel better than I do now, to help ya'll better understand so much about it. Plus, of course, there was some comedy involved as with most things that happen in my life. Some priceless, tear jerking emotional wisdom as well.

For now I'm gonna rest up well, and even if I won't be posting for at least a few days, in the time that I am up & feeling better, I'll try to get in as many blog visiting rounds as I can.

  4. Omg, I've seen way too many Trauma in the ER, and such shows to know that you had the chest tube from hell. I'm so glad that you are home and doing better.

Don't overdue it. Take it easy for all you got.

  5. It's amazing you're still alive and I'm very glad to hear you are. I just got done talking with you about it on Fartbook so I don't have to add much here that I haven't already. Take your time getting back to doing a big blog. Or any sized blog, for that matter. Your health's more important.

Maybe you'll go into details later of everything that happened. I look forward that story. And after having been close to death a couple times before, and because I'm interested in the subject, anyway and other reasons- I look forward to hearing about the near death experience. Hope everything stays stable and your health improves. Take care and whatever you do... Don't fart while doing any cartwheels!

Sorry. Just trying to cheer you up. Okay... I'll go now. :)

  6. Wow dude, that's pretty scary shit. I would have thought a collapsed lung would be due to an accident or something. But glad to hear you are ok.

I've been haunting your blog all week looking for ya. Good reads by the way.

  7. Now that you are safely on the mend I feel my imagination can be set loose :-

I’m ashamed to say I have a number of visions and thoughts of the situation, (hangs head but carries on anyway) :-

Was it the most deflating experience of your life….?

With a lung blow out did you find yourself slewing from side to side until you came to a halt?

Now as I said in my email this is Thundercats fault, she posted the blog about the bent penis which led to my comment about a corkscrew penis removing liver, kidney and subsequently half a lung and leaving the woman (it was before I heard your news) breathless. I’m trying really hard not to imagine how your collapsed lung happened but with few details I’m really struggling, can you at least confirm that you still got your liver and both kidneys .

As I said very happy that you are back on your feet and back in the blogerverse, take care

  8. Yeah, BlackLOG was in my email and told me this happened all because of a bend back paperclip penis so I thought he was joking! (I'ma get you blackLOG! ;)

Mama! That's some scary shit to go through and I'm sorry you're going through that shit! Just KNOW that we fucking love you to death and are not going anywhere! Take your time mama!

  9. Thank you so much, all. I'd love to do my regular responding to each & every comment, but I'm just so not feeling so hot right now. Uncomfortable recovery day.

And yes, Niel, I still have my liver & kidneys.
You are a funny, funny mofo who can make light of even the darkest situations, and the world needs that guy. lol

Thanks again for the love, guys. So much love to you all. <3

  10. Hey LilPixi,
I'm really sorry to read this and I wish I had visited your site, a little sooner.
It was Kelly's link on Farcebook, Fartbook, everyone's favourite notworking site, that made me rush right over :)
That's a very traumatic experience you've gone through and I just want you to take it easy and know my positive wishes are with you :)
I hope y'all aren't gonna' kick me in the shins. Gosh, I'm harmless :)
In peace and kind wishes, your way, Gary

  14. Hi LilPixi

I can't believe you've been blog hopping while you recover, and leaving comments tooboot. Is that even how you spell 2boot? Where did that expression come from anyway?

I'm glad that you are back home, and on the mend. My dad's lung collapsed a few years back, and I will never forget what his face looked like. I also remember how uncomfortable the tube was.

Please take good care of yourself and I hope you feel better soon. You have a fan in me.

  15. Hello, mama. I felt a lil better today than yesterday & wanted to keep up with the masses best as I could if I felt up to it.

(Yesterday I wanted to interact so badly, but clearly just didn't have the strength or comfort. I'm sorry if I didn't respond personally, ya'll)

I honestly don't know what the whole "to boot" (I think?) thing is about, except that sometimes it's fun to say.

Everyone in the hospital was telling me about the difference in what my face looked like when I recovered compared to when it had just happened. Not sure why that happens, but I wouldn't wish that tube nor experience on my worst enemy.

Amazing the things they can fix & how.
And thank you so much, mama. That is a real honor.

I'm so glad you're okay and it must have been a terrible experience for you to go thru! (Here I am all worried about the worms in my head and you've got serious issues going on in your world.) I'm sending hugs (great big monster hugs your way) and please try to hurry up and get better...cause I'm selfish and I'd truly miss you if you were gone too long!
